HSA-SNBA Collaboration: ‘No Vaping’ Signage at Premises

As part of Singapore’s continuing efforts to safeguard public health and uphold national laws on tobacco control, the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) is reaching out to seek your support in raising awareness of the ban on vaping across nightlife venues.
The import, sale, possession, use, or purchase of e-vaporisers is strictly prohibited in Singapore, given the serious health risks they present. These devices contain toxic chemicals including cancer-causing agents such as formaldehyde, and metal nanoparticles like tin, lead, and nickel – known to cause chronic lung injuries like pneumothorax (collapsed lungs). Beyond these dangers, e-vaporisers have also been misused for inhaling addictive substances including Etomidate and illicit drugs like Ketamine.
While enforcement remains a critical part of the government’s strategy, industry collaboration is equally important to reinforce this message. You are strongly encouraged to actively support this public health initiative by:
1. Prominently displaying “No Vaping” signage at entrances and within premises where appropriate. These signs are freely available for download on the HSA website and can be printed or adapted to suit your venue’s branding.
- 2. Ready made signage stickers are also available for collection at the following places (1 – 2 stickers per outlet):
- – Zouk Club (3C River Valley Road, The Cannery, Singapore 179022), Mon – Sat, 1pm – 7pm
- – HSA (11 Outram Road) at the Sentry Post located at the back of HSA Building, Mon – Fri, 9am – 9pm
Here is an FAQ from HSA, on how to manage patrons who vape in your premises, for your reference.
Your venue plays an influential role in shaping social norms, particularly among young adults. By taking a visible stand, you help send a strong message that the nightlife industry is committed to protecting public safety and fostering a healthier, vape-free environment.
